okay so released is again sealed deck so I get 6 packs of the new set to make a deck and battle with.

I know you guys don't really know magic so I'm linking cards to an image of them.

Deck Construction:
Open pack 1, I get a rare Captain of the Mists and some good blue and white commons.  I'm cool at this point, next pack I get a rare Spirit Away and some stuff.  Next 4 packs are junk rares and not enough good commons/uncommons.  I'm pretty disappointed and settle on a Blue White deck splashing red.  I assume I'm going to go 0-3 drop.

Round 1: I play against my friend who's sleeves have a picture of bacon on them.  Obvious champion is obvious.
Game 1 is really back and forth, eventually I get him down to 10 and he casts Grislebrand.  Fortunately I had captain of the mists to tap it down so it couldn't attack or block and gain him 7 life, eventually I pushed through damage and killed him.
Game 2 I just crushed.

1-0

Round 2: I play against a local pro who has been featured on camera at various big tournaments.

Game 1 I beat him with spirit away and more dudes than him.

Game 2 I have multiple turns where getting a second island for Spirit away lets me win, but I never find it and just die.

Game 3 he gets stuck on 4 lands, so unable to hit his high end I take him down fairly easily.

2-0

Round 3:  I unfortunately do not remember but I won.

3-0

Round 4:

Game 1 I mulligan down from 7 to 4 cards.  Unable to deal with Silverblade Paladin he just crushes me.

Game 2: We have huge fields of guys with lifelink (whenever the creature deals damage you gain that much life) so we end up doing way over 150 damage to each other but eventually I start drawing dead lands instead of creatures to build my board presence, and he hits more creatures so I just get overwhelmed and die.

3-1  and I'm like, here starts the losing streak:

Rounds 5 and 6:  I again don't remember what happened, but I won both of them.  I'm really excited at this point.

5-1

Before the last round they put up the standings and I see I'm in third place, which means I can intentionally draw into top 8.

Round 7:
My opponent sits down and I ask for the draw, he originally was going to decline but I remind him that we'll both make top 8 if we draw and he agrees.  We play for fun and I 3-0 him and he's like "well glad I drew".

I make top 8 in third place :)

Quarterfinals:
Game 1 he mulligans down to 5 cards, and I just have more creatures than he has removal, so I take him down.

Game 2 I mulligan down to 4 cards, and he crushes me pretty handily.

Game 3, all on the line to make top 4.  My hand doesn't have a lot of action in it aside from Captain of the Mists.  I end up getting captain of the mists on the field and pass to him.  He fails to find removal for it and at that point I'm pretty sure I just win.  On my turn I play Elguad Shieldmate making her and captain of the mists immune to all his removal (since all his removal targets).  Captain of the mists keeps anything threatening he tries to play tapped down from attacking while I play fliers with lifelink swinging the life totals in my favor.  Several turns later, he scoops it up.

The top 4 decides to split the packs at this point, 21 of them, and I leave extremely happy.

My packs were amazing and contained about 85-90 dollars worth of rares alone.

Clearly it's magic the gathering not yugioh.

@Tigy: yes, yes it is.
